Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9 to 5

Everything on these shelves grew within a mile of the till.

If it isn’t growing within a mile of here, it isn’t on the shelf. So the shop follows the year below: a row turns dark when that crop is in.

Saturdays, 9 to 5

On Saturdays, the press runs.

Every Saturday the juice press is working in the shop, pressing fruit from the same mile as everything else. Come any time we’re open to watch it run.

One mile is the whole supply chain.

The fields you pass on the drive in are where the shelves are filled. Nothing is bought in to cover a gap, so what you find depends on the week, and it was in the ground or on the tree not long before.

Also from the mile

Squash, potatoes and honey share the shelves with the season’s crop. Ask at the till what came in this week.
