The Farm Shop
Grown within a mile of the till
Everything on our shelves is grown on the land around the shop. When a crop is over, it is gone until next year.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9 to 5

The shelf follows the calendar
Each crop is on sale for the weeks it ripens here, and not before.
June to July
Strawberries
Two months on the shelf, then gone until next summer.

July to September
Tomatoes
Red, yellow and dark heirloom tomatoes through the late summer.

September to December
Apples
The longest season we have: four months, into the winter.

Saturdays
The juice press runs on Saturdays
Come on a Saturday and the press is working in the shop. Ask at the till what is going through it that week.
One mile from field to till
The wheat field, the orchard and the hives all sit inside that mile.

The fields
The wheat field at harvest.

The hives
Where the honey on our shelf comes from.

The honey room
Strained before it goes into jars.
Also on the shelf
These come and go through the year. Ask at the till what is in this week.

Potatoes
Red potatoes, when the crop is ready.

Squash and pumpkins
Orange and grey-green, when they are ready.

Honey
From our own hives, some jars with comb inside.
Come and see what is ripe
